Benjamin Ellin’s Barlow Prize piece, Pandora, was performed on October 8, 2013 in Yekaterinburg, Russia by the Yekaterinburg Philharmonic Orchestra and solo trombonist Joseph Alessi.
The piece’s world premiere took place on April 6, 2012 in the de Jong Concert Hall at Brigham Young University (Utah). Joseph Alessi was accompanied by the BYU Philharmonic, with Kory Katseanes conducting.
