Michael Quell’s General Commission, A Blurring Cloud, was performed by the Ensemble tempus konnex on April 28, 2016 at the Fulda, Vonderau Museum as part of the Neue Kammermusik program.
In 2015 the piece was performed by the Kroiser Ensemble on December 18, 2015 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The performance will be a part of the Kyiv Contemporary Music Daysfestival.
A Blurring Cloud received its European premiere by the Ensemble Aventure at the Music Academy of Hessia, Schlitz, Germany on March 8th, 2014 and again at the Music Academy of Thuringen, Sondershausen, Germany on March 10th, 2014.
It was also performed by StrungOut Trio at the Hyatt Regency Conference Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 2, 2013. The piece was a part of the final concert of the College Music Society National Conference.
On June 15, 2012 this piece was premiered at the Classical Minds Festival in Houston, Texas, by Duo46. Other performances in 2012 include:
